NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control
Board will receive public comments upon the applications for the installation of the
following air pollutant sources in Hamilton County, TN.

McKee Foods Corp. has proposed to install a new snack production line, four new
boilers, and seven new water heaters at 10628 Apison Pike, Apison, TN. A new oven of
the production line, the new boilers, and the new heaters will be fueled by natural gas.
Annual air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of this equipment are
estimated to be no more than 36.74 tons of nitrogen oxides, 29.67 tons of carbon
monoxide, 14.27 tons of volatile organic compounds, 2.68 tons of particulate matter,
and 0.20 ton of sulfur oxides. Questions may be directed to Miguel Vega, Bureau

Novonix Anode Materials LLC has proposed to install a new electric calciner at 353
Corporate Place, Chattanooga, TN. Annual air pollutant emissions resulting from the
operation of this calciner are estimated to be no more than 0.77 ton of sulfur oxides,
0.053 ton of nitrogen oxides, 0.034 ton of volatile organic compounds, 0.029 ton of
carbon monoxide, 0.0075 ton/yr of hydrogen cyanide, and 0.0019 ton of particulate

Roadtec, Inc., has proposed to install four new plasma cutting tables at 2909
Riverside Dr., Chattanooga, TN. Air pollutant emissions of particulate matter from each
cutting table will be controlled by a filter baghouse. These emissions are estimated to be
no more than 0.12 ton/year from all four cutting tables combined. Questions may be

Rocket Oil Co. has proposed to install a gasoline dispensing facility at 5531 Hwy.
58, Harrison, TN. This facility will utilize Stage I vapor recovery. Questions may be

Materials concerning these proposed permitting actions may be inspected in person
or online beginning at 4:30 p.m. EDT, Friday, Sept. 1, 2023.

    Written comments on any of these proposed permitting actions or requests for a
    public hearing concerning any of them should be mailed or delivered to the Bureau
    Executive Director at the above address. Comments or requests must be received by
    4:30 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, to be considered in the specified proposed
    permitting action.

    will be posted on the Bureau’s website, apcb.org, and published in the Chattanooga
