Residential: The demolition of a single family dwelling does not require an asbestos permit unless it has previously been used or is currently used for commercial purposes.

Commercial: Yes. The Air Pollution Control Bureau issues permits for the following projects:

  • Demolition with or without regulated asbestos;
  • Renovation with regulated asbestos removal; or
  • Asbestos removal only
