Notice of Comment Period – Tennessee Valley Authority

September 25, 2024 – Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board will receive public comments upon the application for the installation of the following air pollutant source in Hamilton County, TN. Tennessee Valley Authority has proposed to install a new abrasive blasting booth at 2600 Igou Ferry Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN. Air pollutant emissions of particulate matter resulting from the use of this booth will be controlled by a filter baghouse and are estimated to be no more than 3.02 tons/year. Materials concerning this proposed permitting action may be inspected in person or online beginning at 4:30 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

Written comments on this proposed permitting action or requests for a public
hearing concerning it should be mailed or delivered to the Bureau Executive Director at
the above address. Comments or requests must be received by 4:30 p.m. EDT, Friday,
October 25, 2024, to be considered in the proposed permitting action.

If a public hearing is requested, notice of the date, time, and location of the hearing will be posted on the Bureau’s website, apcb.org, by Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
