Public Comment Period Notice February 9 – March 14, 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board will receive public comments upon the applications for the installation of the following air pollutant sources in Hamilton County, TN.

WestRock CP, LLC, has proposed to replace three printing presses with a new printing press at 3800 Tag Rd., Chattanooga, TN. Potential increases in annual air pollutant emissions resulting from this replacement are estimated to be 12.82 tons of particulate matter and 0.4 ton of volatile organic compounds. C. J. Mahan Construction Co., LLC, has proposed to install a portable concrete batch plant at 5570 Trailhead Dr., Chattanooga, TN. Annual air pollutant emissions of particulate matter resulting from this plant, including associated haul roads and storage piles, are estimated to be no more than 1.09 tons. QuikTrip Corporation has proposed to install a gasoline dispensing facility at 312 Browns Ferry Rd., Chattanooga, TN. This facility will utilize Stage I vapor recovery. Questions may be directed to Alan Frazier, Bureau engineering manager, at 423.643.5978.

Anyone desiring to comment on any of these proposed permitting actions or to request a public hearing concerning any of them should mail or deliver their written comments or request to the Bureau Director at the above address. Comments or requests must be received by 4:30 p.m. EDT, Monday, March 14, 2022, to be considered in the specified proposed permitting action. If a public hearing is requested, notice of the date, time, and location of the hearing will be posted on the Bureau’s website, apcb.org, and published in the Chattanooga Times Free Press by Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
