Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control
Board will receive public comments upon the applications for the installation of the
following air pollutant sources in Hamilton County, TN.
The City of Chattanooga has proposed to install an emergency generator engine at
the South Lee Hwy. Wet Weather Equalization (EQ) Station located at 7150 St.
Stephens Place, Chattanooga, TN. Potential annual air pollutant emissions resulting
from the operation of this engine, which will be fueled by diesel fuel, are estimated to be
0.49 ton of nitrogen oxides (NO X ), 0.029 ton of carbon monoxide (CO), 0.0024 ton of
particulate matter (PM), 0.00083 ton of volatile organic compounds (VOC), and 0.00045
ton of sulfur oxides (SO X ).
The City of Chattanooga has proposed to install an emergency generator engine at
the West Chickamauga Wet Weather EQ Station located at 6000 Cornelison Road,
Chattanooga, TN. Potential annual air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation
of this engine, which will be fueled by diesel fuel, are estimated to be 0.61 ton of NO X ,
0.027 ton of CO, 0.0030 ton of VOC, 0.0022 ton of PM, and 0.00062 ton of SO X .

Written comments on either of these proposed permitting actions or requests for a
public hearing concerning either of them should be mailed or delivered to the Bureau
Executive Director at the above address. Comments or requests must be received by
4:30 p.m. EDT, Monday, September 8, 2025, to be considered in the specified proposed
permitting action.
If a public hearing is requested, notice of the date, time, and location of the hearing
will be posted on the Bureau’s website, apcb.org, by Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
