Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control
Board will receive public comments upon the application for the installation of the
following air pollutant sources in Hamilton County, TN.
Novonix Anode Materials LLC has proposed to install sixty new electric furnaces at
8091 Ferdinand Piech Way, Chattanooga, TN. Annual air pollutant emissions resulting
from the operation of this equipment are estimated to be no more than 43.47 tons of
sulfur dioxide, 2.82 tons of carbon monoxide, 1.45 tons of volatile organic compounds,
0.88 ton of nitrogen oxides, 0.069 ton of particulate matter, 0.050 ton of hydrogen
cyanide, and 0.011 ton of hydrogen sulfide.

Written comments on this proposed permitting action or requests for a public
hearing concerning it should be mailed or delivered to the Bureau Executive Director at
the above address. Comments or requests must be received by 4:30 p.m. EST,
Monday, November 24, 2025, to be considered in the proposed permitting action.
If a public hearing is requested, notice of the date, time, and location of the hearing
will be posted on the Bureau’s website, apcb.org, by Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
