Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control
Board will receive public comments upon the applications for the operation of the
following air pollutant sources in Hamilton County, TN.
BASF Corporation has applied for a Part 70 (Title V) permit for their manufacturing facility (Plant #1) at 32 Lost Mound Dr., Chattanooga, TN. Potential annual air pollutant emissions from the facility are estimated to be 27.55 tons of carbon monoxide (CO), 17.07 tons of nitrogen oxides (NO X ), 2.63 tons of volatile organic compounds (VOC), 2.51 tons of particulate matter (PM), and 0.46 ton of sulfur dioxide (SO 2 ).
BASF Corporation has applied for a Part 70 (Title V) permit for their manufacturing facility (Plant #2) at 2120 Polymer Dr., Chattanooga, TN. Potential annual air pollutant emissions from the facility are estimated to be 18.37 tons of CO, 11.18 tons of NO X , 4.88 tons of VOC, 2.55 tons of PM, and 0.31 ton of SO 2 .

Written comments on this proposed permitting action or requests for a public hearing concerning it should be mailed or delivered to the Bureau Executive Director at the above address. Comments or requests must be received by 4:30 p.m. EDT, Monday, July 14, 2025, to be considered in the proposed permitting action.
If a public hearing is requested, notice of the date, time, and location of the hearing will be posted on the Bureau’s website, apcb.org., by Thursday, July 17, 2025.
