Burn Season Begins October 1st

You can now apply for a burn permit either in person or by mail
If you apply before October 1st, your permit will be mailed to you before the season begins

Dry Cleaners

Dry cleaning facilities are subject to the provisions of the National Perchloroethylene Air Emissions Standards for Dry Cleaning Facilities [Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations Part 63, Subpart M].  As a result of this, all dry cleaning facilities that use perchloroethylene are inspected annually by the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Bureau.
