Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board will receive public comments upon the application for the installation of the following air pollutant sources in Hamilton County, TN.


Signal Mountain Cement Company d/b/a Buzzi Unicem USA – Signal Mountain Plant, located at 1201 Suck Creek Road in Chattanooga, TN, has proposed to add one baghouse to cement silos 3-6 and one to cement silos 7-9 to allow greater flexibility in operation. There will be no change in emissions from these silos since there will be no change in the cement silos operation or throughput. Univar USA Inc. has proposed to store a new chemical, Isopar C, in its existing tank farm at 3 Riverside Lane in Chattanooga, TN. This will result in an increase of 0.353 tons/year of volatile organic compound emissions, of which 0.322 tons/year is 2,2,4-trimethylpentane. Mueller Co. LLC 1401 Mueller Avenue, Chattanooga, TN, has proposed to replace an existing no bake production line with a new large casting production line. Increases in potential annual air pollutant emissions resulting from this installation are 18.2 tons of particulate matter, 1.4 tons of volatile organic compounds, 6.9 tons of nitrogen oxides, 5.8 tons of carbon monoxide, and 6.0 tons of sulfur dioxides.
